I’m Anna and am currently beginning my junior year of High School in Minneapolis. I started taking an interest in Art when I was very young, being raised by two artists. Though my father was a passionate painter, he also introduced me to the family DSLR (a Sony from 2000) when I was 8 and taught me the basics of photography. Experimenting with self portraits, I soon began expanding to other subjects, by photographing my sister and mom. With the rising popularity of Instagram, I had made a photography account by 5th grade and continued for many years. Modepetit(e) was then born and has continued ever since. Ranging from fashion blogs, to selling drawings and now a photography website, Modepetite has become a name that has both developed and stayed with me as I’ve grown up. Despite undergoing changes in my style and work, I’ve always had a direct interest with portraits and capturing stories. My largest focus in photography is to understand and portray the subject’s perspective and view of the world, which I always hope to do justice. Every person has a story to tell, why not tell yours?
